Karate Classes

Every Monday and Wednesday between 19:00 and 20:30

We at Shingitai concentrate our training on the original values of Shotokan karate, unlike other martial arts with the emphasis on freestyle or competition karate which is more likely to cause injury to the practitioner. Our training focuses on the practical uses of the techniques of traditional shotokan karate. Therefore we can practice in a safe and controlled environment. We teach flexibility and fitness alongside self defence techniques. With todays culture of intimidation and violence, it is important to have confidence for the defence of yourelf, family and friends.

Karate is a martial art and was never intended to be practised as a sport. Each individual is encouraged to train according to their own abilities. Our discipline follows the tradition of Shotokan karate as intended by the masters of the past. Training days are Monday and Wednesday (except bank holidays) 7pm until 8.30pm at the New Brighton Community Centre, 1a Hope Street CH45 2LN. For further information please call Sensei Harry Vernon on: 07999 621 606
